Breastfeeding: The 1st Hour - Save ONE million babies!
Initiation of breastfeeding within the 1st hour of birth is the first and most vital step towards reducing infant and under five mortality

Dear Friends,

India is going to celebrate 16th World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) to protect the rights and interests of babies and their mothers to adequately breastfeed. BPNI invites individuals and organizations of all states in India to participate in the WBW celebration. This year’s theme is "Breastfeeding: the 1st Hour – Save ONE million babies!"

To assist in your WBW 2007 events, we uploaded the following materials in our website ( www.bpni.org) for you to utilize, adapt or reproduce: Action Folder, Press Release, UNICEF Letter of Support, WHO Letter of Support etc.
